 Winter Meeting

The Buckeye Brittany Club winter meeting will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at the home of Bill and Cynthia Burger.

 

The address is 12301 Woodsfield Circle E., Pickerington, Ohio, 43147.  Lunch will be at 12:00 and the meeting will start at 1:00.  The date is Saturday, January 28.  The club will provide the meat, beverages and dessert.  A covered dish would be well appreciated but is not mandatory.  Please plan on coming.

The club will not be providing handler's horses however a wrangler will be available.  The wrangler is Art Postlethwait and he can be reached at (H) 740-685-8034 or (C) at 740-255-6864. 
 
Breakfast will be available.  Information on lunch and dinner will be posted in the clubhouse.

NOTE for Fall, 2011: A portion of State Route 60 is closed South of Dresden. Drivers who are attempting to drive North on State Route 60 into Dresden can avoid the road closure by turning right onto Northpointe Drive, left on Fairview Road, then right back on State Route 60 into Dresden.  Here's a map of the route you need to take:

***Park only in the gravel parking area. No rubber on the grass. The state will be issuing tickets and no warnings will be given.***

Tri Valley FAQ

1. Pulling a big rig?

Take US Rte 60 to State Rte 208 in Dresden to McLaughlin Hill Rd. (left) and then right on Stone Church Road. This route consists of wider roads with lesser grades. Rte. 666 is NOT big rig friendly.

2. Water?

There is water on the grounds but not for human consumption. Please bring water for personal use. The water available at the kennels should NOT be used to wash horses.

3. Electricity?

Electrical hook-ups are NOT available for campers or motorhomes.

4. Horses?

There is no barn for horses, but corrals are available. Horses will be available to rent.

5. Food?

A light breakfast and lunch as well as Saturday dinner will be available. Restaurants are nearby in Dresden (the Depot Restaurant & Pub is very good) and Zanesville.

6. Food for Horses?

Hay may be available for your horses. Contact Jason Allen at 740-796-2377 to confirm.

7. Veterinarian?

Dr. James Booth is available in Zanesville, Ohio. His number is 740-452-3332. Dr. Brinkman (large animal) is also available in Zanesville, Ohio. His number is 740-454-3355.

8. Diesel is not available in Dresden.

9. Lodging?

There are several motels in Zanesville. Super 8 (740-455-3124); America’s Best Value Inn (740-453-6002); Econolodge (740-452-4511); and Travelodge (740-453-0611).

10. Detailed Directions?

FROM I-70 take the State Route 93 Exit (Adamsville) North about 10 miles to the village of Adamsville. Continue North on State Route 208 and follow for approximately 4.6 miles to

Keyes Road
. Turn North (right) onto
Keyes Road
and follow for 1.4 miles to
Stone Church Road
. Turn West (left) onto
Stone Church Road
and follow for 1.76 miles to entrance.

FROM STATE ROUTE 16 take the State Route 60 South Exit (Dresden). Follow SR 60 South for approximately 2.6 miles to State Route 208 at Dresden. Turn East (left) onto SR 208 and follow through the village. When you cross the bridge over the Muskingum River turn North onto SR 208. Follow SR 208 for 2.8 miles to

McLaughlin Road
(top of hill). Turn North East (left) onto
McLaughlin Road
and follow for .7 mile to
Stone Church Road
. Turn East (right) onto
Stone Church Road
and follow .4 miles to entrance.
